Communicating
Communication in Second Life can occur through text or audio. Text can be broadcast to everyone in your vicinity or sent directly to a single person. Voice chat allows you to speak to others in your vicinity using your computer’s microphone. This speeds up communication versus text chat and makes communication seem more natural. In addition to text and audio, avatars can communicate through gestures. Gestures are pre-programmed animations that show emotion.
